Where now for PASCAL International Observatory?
I have had the priviledge to have been working with PASCAL since very early on, 2004 in fact. Six years. During this time, we have been working towards a shared vision that is often expressed in many different ways. I personally understand this as providing a safe space for boundary crossers (research, policy, practice) to come together with a focus on the self-defining region as the optimum geo-political level at which to acheive...something.
PASCAL has grown stongly in an organic manner largely thanks to the efforts of a core of individuals with seemingly boundless drive and creativity.
We have acheived much and built a strong repuation, but where now for PASCAL?
Is the current model sustainable?
Do we want to grow further, is so in what ways?
What are the resource (both humand and financial) implications for future growth?
I hold a strong belief that we have developed something very significant with a future far beyond the next 5-10 years.
